What's happening at 9 weeks
Embryo officially becomes a fetus next week. Tiny teeth buds are forming in the gums.
What your baby is doing
Arms can bend at the elbow. The diaphragm is developing. Earlobes are visible. They look much more like a tiny human now.
What's happening to you
Uterus is the size of a grapefruit. You might notice your jeans don't button anymore even though there's no bump yet — that's bloat.
On the heartbeat
Heartbeat is around 170 BPM on ultrasound. Still impossible to hear with a phone — the baby is too small and too deep behind the pubic bone.
